The Chicago White Sox made a pair of roster moves ahead of Monday's series opener against the Toronto Blue Jays. As expected, the club activated shortstop Tim Anderson off the 10-day injured list. However, Yoan Moncada heads to the IL (retroactive to June 18) due to a strained right hamstring.

After suffering a strained right groin on May 29, Tim Anderson has missed the White Sox's last 18 games. The 28-year-old owns a .356/.393/.503 slash line with five home runs and 19 RBIs in 40 games this season. He will play shortstop and bat leadoff when the Sox host the Blue Jays tonight.

As for Yoan Moncada, the injury bug bites yet again. He exited early from Friday night's game against the Astros after tweaking his hamstring running to first base. The Cuban third baseman has struggled mightily this season, posting a .179/.230/.292 slash line with three home runs and 12 RBIs. The timing of his injury is especially unfortunate as he was coming off a five-hit, five-RBI game in Detroit last Wednesday.
