AEW Dynamite's Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022 installment provided several updates regarding the company and plenty of action. No time to waste, let's get right into the nitty gritty.

Show Opening

CM Punk is sitting in the center of the ring. Let's just say no one delivers on a microphone quite like Punk. He was there to fill everyone in on when, where, and which type of bout he would face MJF in for their rematch.

That showdown will take place on March 6 in Orlando, FL at the Revolution PPV. It will be a match consisting of pure violence -- a Dog Collar Match.

Bryan Danielson vs. Lee Moriarty

Before this battle started, we got word of a few big matches coming over the next two weeks. Two Tag Team Battle Royales will determine which teams will face Jurassic Express for the Tag Team Championships at Revolution.

Onto the match itself. Most figured Danielson would walk away from the winner in this one, which he did. It was a great outing for Lee Moriarty, as he was able to show off some of the violence Danielson asked him to display. Following his win, Danielson was looking for an answer from Jon Moxley.

Well, let's say that he didn't get the answer he was looking for. Moxley will only work with someone once they have shed some blood in the ring against each other, so it seems we will see these two in a match very soon.

Wardlow vs. Max Caster

The winner of this one will qualify for the Face of The Revolution Ladder Match. Even with the additional help for Max Caster, there is no stopping a man that has been on a mission for quite some time now.

It didn't take too long for Wardlow to make the impact he was looking for. He was able to catch Caster in the Powerbomb Symphony and score the win.

In-Ring Segment

Hangman Adam Page made his way to the ring to discuss his upcoming agenda. It didn't take long, as Adam Cole was right behind him making his way to the ring to talk with the Champion. The history between these two goes back for several years.

It seems as if Cole is next in line with his perfect record in singles competition. After both men shook hands, Cole left the ring. But that wasn't it, as reDRagon entered the fold and took out Hangman even more until the Dark Order showed up to help their old friend.

Chris Jericho & Jake Hager vs. Santana & Ortiz

These four went to war in this match. From the jump, Jericho was thrown off when Eddie Kingston made his return to be ringside for his longtime friends Santana & Ortiz. This match was better than most would have expected it to be.

But as expected, Jericho has become obsessed with Eddie Kingston. At the end of this battle, it cost him and Hager a chance of winning. What will this end up meaning for The Inner Circle now?

Mercedes Martinez vs. Thunder Rosa

These two came to the ring with violence on their minds for this No Disqualification match. It might not have been the cleanest battle, as each endured a few slip-ups. But even with those issues, they put on an enjoyable match with Thunder Rosa winning this one. At the conclusion, Thunder Rosa showed Martinez some respect for their battle.

That continued to upset Britt Baker, who is worried about the next in line for a shot at her Championship. Not only did they take out Thunder Rosa, but they also took out Mercedes Martinez. Baker does not want anything to do with Rosa going forward.

TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara (C)

Two of the Pillars of the company closed out this week's installment of AEW Dynamite. Honestly, you just love to see that. Sammy and Darby are destined to fight each other forever. Going into this match, Sammy has yet to beat Darby in a singles competition in AEW. These two never disappoint when they face off against each other in the ring.

The crowd was thoroughly into this match throughout the duration. The only major letdown was the finish. Sammy was finally able to get his win over Darby, but it was mainly by the hands of Andrade hitting Darby with a Tablet over the head knocking him out.

Following the match, Matt Hardy entered the mix and they continued to beat both men down. Andrade walked off with both TNT Championships in his hands making his intentions very clear.
