The quickest hour of wrestling on television seems to be over before you know it. It continues to be jam-packed with fun moments as well as some great matches. This week was no different as AEW continues to build toward a bright future.

Bryan Danielson vs. Nick Jackson

Thoughts: Two big-time veterans opening the show was a fantastic sight to see. Danielson had the advantage, as Nick is used to being a part of a tag team. He had no one to look towards when he got tired. He used his speed to start the match, until his arrogance got the best of him. Danielson was able to can control and slow down his high-paced opponent. It seemed like the tag team specialist was feeling it without a partner in this one. That changed though when he tossed Danielson outside the ring and his brother attacked him to help him out. These two went to war for nearly 20 minutes. Danielson took control and became the aggressor near the end of the match. He made Nick tap out to the submission hold "Cattle Mutilation".

Thoughts: We heard from Powerhouse Hobbs and Hook in the backstage area. They let the viewers know Ricky Starks had a message for Brian Cage. It seems like their fight is far from over and Ricky is tired of hearing about Cage. We seem to be on the path of getting another match soon between the two.

We also saw a video package from CM Punk as well. He was explaining why he is a five-tool player here in AEW. Simply put, he told everyone around the company that he has already shown that he can match up with anyone. He feels like he has painted a target on his back and that people will be coming after him anytime now. So, who is will be next for CM Punk? Only time will tell on this one.

Nyla Rose vs. Jade Cargill vs. Thunder Rosa

Thoughts: This one started hot with Thunder Rosa going after both opponents to get the quick upper hand. But that did not last long, Jade Cargill cleaned house and even had a big battle with Nyla Rose. This was a battle people have been looking at due to Jade's record in the company. She came out on top during this exchange and hit Nyla with a clothesline to the outside of the ring. When the show returned from the commercial, we saw that the weapons were getting involved. This is something that has helped Thunder Rosa take down her bigger opponents. She ended up hitting a top powerbomb to Nyla Rose through a table, making this a one-on-one match. The only issue was that the other person now had a steel chair. As Thunder Rosa rolled back into the ring, she got destroyed by Jade with that chair non-stop. This attack brought the match to an end with Jade Cargill getting the pinfall victory after all those chair shots. This was a huge victory for her, as she remains undefeated in the women's division.

Thoughts: Malakai Black provided a video package about everything going on. He went over the last week with Cody Rhodes. Then, he mentioned that he hopes that the black mist that he hit him with a week ago seeps into his whole body and shows him how dangerous he is. In addition, Black brought up that there are still plenty of others in this company that still need to pay the toll. Could this mean he is moving on from Cody Rhodes for now? Seems like it at this time.

Next was a quick video from Sammy Guevara about his TNT Championship victory on Wednesday and what it means to him. His reign as champion is starting quickly with the Open Challenge returning. It was confirmed again that he will be facing Bobby Fish next week on Dynamite.

Jack Evans vs. Orange Cassidy

Thoughts: The backstage interview before the match was a fun one. Mark Henry as Orange Cassidy what he thought about this Hair vs. Hair match, "wait what type of match is this?" He had no clue what this meant before he agreed to it. At that point, he promised to not lose the match. Jack Evans and Matt Hardy tried to end this match quickly with a distraction and roll-up. That did not work against Cassidy, who then went on to take control of this match for the time being. He only continued to anger Matt Hardy, who has the biggest issue with him. This only made him more angry, leading to Hardy pulling Cassidy outside the ring behind the referee's back and hitting him with a heavy right punch. All this outside activity helped Evans gain the advantage for a while in the match. The fans started to get behind Cassidy and he was just gaining momentum until Hardy brought out everyone from the Hardy Family Office to get involved. That was all stopped by The Best Friends and The Dark Order.

The match came to a close with no one causing any issues. Orange Cassidy hit his finisher the "Orange Punch" for the pinfall victory. After the match, The Best Friends help shave Jack Evan's head at the end of the show. To close the show, both groups came into the ring and had a big group hug centered around Brodie Lee Jr., celebrating this week for him and his late father.

We also received word at the close of the show that all the participants for the Casino Ladder Match on next week's anniversary show have been announced. There will be a joker involved in this match. Who will that be? I guess we have to wait until Wednesday to find out!
