Last week's episode of Dynamite finally provided further information on the AEW World Trios Tournament. A total of eight teams compete in this tournament. This came as a bit of a surprise for the fan base, as many thought it would be a bigger field given all the trios inside the company. Still, it should make for an intriguing event. Let's take a look at all of the first-round matches and what they could mean for the finals, which will take place at All Out on Sept. 4.

The first match will surely be one of the most talked about events of the tournament. Andrade El Idolo, RUSH, and Dragon Lee faced off against the Young Bucks and a mystery partner, who turned out to be Kenny Omega. They tried to recruit Hangman Adam Page last week, but that didn't pan out after he told them he would not be messing up the chance for his friends in the Dark Order.

Nearly all of the first-round matches are wide open. The only one that seems predictable would be the Best Friends claiming victory, which makes the second round even better. After what happened last week on Dynamite, many fans are already predicting a matchup featuring The Elite vs. The Dark Order for the finals. While that is a realistic scenario, a team like The House Of Black will surely be in the hunt for the Championships right off the bat.
