The fallout from the AEW All Out brawl is still unfolding. It seems as though new bits of information emerge every day. In the latest development, it seems AEW may be working on a contract buyout of former World Champion CM Punk. The relationship between those at the top is fractured, and it may be irreparable.
If the speculation holds true, it seems one side of the fight won't be staying around. Right now, CM Punk appears to be the one on the way out. During the Sept. 21 edition of Dynamite: Grand Slam, commentators made it seem like he never existed by not even mentioning his name when it came to former champions in Ring of Honor and AEW.
But the future of CM Punk in AEW may not come to light until he is healthy. He suffered an injury during his main event at All Out against Jon Moxley which could sideline him for eight months. Even so, more reports are bound to surface before that timeline plays out.
For now, wrestling fans must wait for the other shoe to drop. As for The Elite, things remain rather quiet on their front.
