The night starts off with the AEW Tag Team Championship match featuring Private Party vs. Kenny Omega & Hangman Adam Page. The match starts with Omega vs. Marq Quen. For the first part of the match, the champions controlled the match. They ended up hitting a few double team moves to continue the momentum on Quen. Private Party was able to take control once the tag was made to Kassidy. The action continued to go back and forth throughout this lively matchup. The match nearly came to an end when Quen hit a shooting star press but Kenny Omega made the save on the pin attempt right before the count of three. Private Party set up for their finisher of Gin and Juice, but it was countered into a win for the Champions who hit The Last Call for the pinfall win.
The second match of the night was Joey Janela vs. Lance Archer. This match starts off quickly when Archer makes his way to the ring with Janela's tag team partner Sonny Kiss on his shoulders and throws him at Joey. He continues to attack him around the ring until he throws him back into the ring and that actually helps Janela gain some control for a few moments. He goes and gets a table set up on the outside of the ring and grabs a chair. He gets ready to drop down on Archer from the top rope, he's stopped by the referee. This cost Janela because Archer gets up and throws him off the top rope. For a short time, Janela took back the control and even got Sonny Kiss involved while the referee was trying to get Jake Roberts away from the ringside. However, Archer was able to get control back quickly and end the match in a vicious way. He carried Janela to the side of the ring and tossed him through the table that was still on the outside of the ring using his finisher Blackout. He followed that up slamming his head against the floor a few times. He picked him up and tossed him back into the ring for the pinfall victory.
The first in-ring interview is Taz and Brian Cage coming out to talk about their upcoming match with AEW Champion Jon Moxley. That isn't the only occurrence, however. Taz is out there for a major announcement, which ended up being the crowning of a new champion. He awarded Brian Cage as the new FTW Champion. He goes on to close out the interview saying that Cage is not going into his match next week being uncrowned and that he is the worst man on the planet.
The next match of the night was the big eight-man tag team match featuring The Butcher and The Blade and Lucha Bro's vs. FTR and The Young Bucks. The match starts off with Pentagon Jr. facing off against Nick Jackson, as those two teams have plenty of history. But that changed quickly when Pentagon Jr. took off his glove and threw it at Dax Hardwood, so Nick made the tag to let him into the match. The action was back and forth between the teams of FTR and Lucha Bro's, as both teams were able to get near falls during this time. Matt Jackson finally got a surprise tag into the match to help out their team. This match was non-stop action for a large portion until the team of the Butch and The Blade slowed the match up a little bit with some groundwork. The bout was close to coming to an end when the two teams of The Young Bucks and FTR hit double team moves together, but Rey Fenix made the save for his team. The match finally came to an end when there was a slight mix-up from Matt Jackson super kicking Dax. That allowed the Lucha Bro's to hit a double team driver on Matt Jackson for the pinfall win.
Moving on, Big Swole is shown walking up to the building. But she is stopped before she gets in and told that she is suspended due to the Britt Baker incidents. The following match is Nyla Rose in a 2-on-1 handicap match. She is facing Kenzie Paige and KiLynn King. Let's just say that Nyla Rose controlled this whole match and made quick work of her opponents. Following the match, she made her announcement that she has found herself a manager and that she will return to the top of the women's division. But she will not announce who it is yet.
The six-man tag team match of The Dark Order and Colt Cabana vs. SCU is the next event. The match starts with Brodie Lee facing up against Christopher Daniels, but Lee changes that up quickly to Stu Grayson. The team of SCU was controlling the start of this match with their teamwork. Once Colt Cabana came in, he struggled due to injuries in the rib area. The matchup changed for The Dark Order once they were able to hit a trio team move to take control. Things came to a close when Daniels was going for a pinfall but it was broken up by Caban, which caused Daniels some confusion. While his back was turned, Brodie Lee hit a discus clothesline and took the pinfall for the win.
The main event of the evening came next -- Orange Cassidy vs. Chris Jericho. The start of the match was perfect. In typical Cassidy fashion, he put his hands in his pockets but surprised Chris Jericho with a headbutt. Jericho then goes for a few clotheslines but Cassidy dodges them all and hits a dropkick on Jericho. All of this just makes Jericho upset, and he finally gains control when he gets his opponent into the lion tamer. That play is broken up when Cassidy crawls to the bottom rope. Cassidy then gets a few roll-up attempts that only end up in two counts. He also attempts a superman punch but misses that. This leads to Jericho getting the control back. He ends up getting him into submission and slowing him down. After all this time of Jericho controlling the match, Cassidy finally got some offensive strikes on his opponent. He was able to hit a bit splash off the top and a dive to the outside taking out the Inner Circle. He brought it back into the ring and hit a top-rope DDT but only got a two count. Cassidy was setting up for another superman punch but Jericho caught him and dropped him into another lion tamer. The Best Friends made their way to the ring to get rid of the Inner Circle and the issues they were causing. Orange Cassidy was hitting Jericho with every move that he could, but they still only resulted in two counts. The match came to an end when Chris Jericho hit Judas Effect, getting the pinfall win to close out the show.
